A Reseller Storefront unique to your Business

Create custom pages for your Domains Reseller Store | Show your own individual brand

When you become a Reseller partner by purchasing a Pro or Basic Reseller Plan, you are provided with what we call a standard or Turnkey Storefront. This storefront is ready for you to have your customers visit and start purchasing immediately. However, you have options for making this storefront more unique to your business. You can also build a custom storefront. You have a few choices with varying degrees of customization and continued maintenance. Keep in mind that you can mix and match these different options together as well.

Standard Storefront

We provide pages for each different product with all product tiers available up to date, information that comes with the product, and pathways to the cart up to date and running for you. We also provide legal pages with all the legal agreements available for the products and pathways for your customers to get support and to help articles.

  • Storefront Domain: You are provided with a default URL for your storefront but you can adjust the domain your storefront is on by applying what is called a custom storefront URL.
  • Branding: You can update your Logo and colors to show your own individual brand to your customers. The same is used throughout your customers experience within most products.
  • Product Catalog: By default you are opted into selling all products with exception of Microsoft 365, which you need to manually opt into separately. If you would rather not sell certain products, you can remove them from your navigation.
  • Navigation: You can remove/edit/add to your navigation and link where you would like. If you add pages, please keep in mind that though the standard storefront is available in all markets/languages/currencies, any additional pages that you create elsewhere and add to navigation will not be translated by us.
  • Market/Currencies: You can select a default market and currency that is available to all who first navigate to your storefront and there is a market selector and currency selector available on the storefront.

Limitations: You cannot edit the information or layout on the pages that are part of standard storefront.

Need a little more customization? You can create custom pages for your home page only, or for the popular products you sell only, etc while using the standard storefront for any other remaining pages you don’t want to build custom for. In this way, you can give your customers a custom experience without having to build an entire storefront yourself and avoid at least some of the maintenance time later down the road.

WordPress Plugin for your Reseller Store

Whether you are looking to build a completely custom experience for your customers or perhaps only create a few custom pages to add to the standard storefront, the Reseller Store WordPress plugin helps with the heavy lifting.

Perks:

  • Storefront Domain: As you will be creating your own site/pages, you will need to have your own domain name associated with these pages in order to bring them live.
  • Branding: As you are building your own custom storefront, your branding is up to you. Do keep in mind, your customers, once on the cart or logged into their products, they will be experiencing our system. We would still suggest you provide us with the logo and colors via the RCC so emails/in product experience can flow as easily as possible with your custom storefront.
  • Product Catalog: the plugin provides a full product catalog along with what comes with each of the products/tiers. (Exception – Bulk Domain Registration and Bulk Domain Transfer) You can edit for purposes of SEO but keep in mind, as per reseller agreement, you need to be honest with what the customer is purchasing as part of the product. You can also choose to not display pages for certain products.
  • Navigation: Your customers will ultimately end up on the cart pages when they are making a purchase. Because of this, you will want to edit the navigation settings in RCC to match what you have in your custom storefront so your customers don’t have a disjointed experience.
  • Pricing: The plugin will provide the pricing that you have set in the RCC on your custom storefront as well.
  • Market/Currencies: When you start with the plugin, we provide you the information in the market/currency you have set as your default preferences in RCC. You may also elect to change the single market assigned to the plugin through the Plugin Settings.

Limitations:

  • Ongoing Maintenance: For any pages you create, you are responsible for ongoing maintenance of those pages. So if the product changes or a new version is available, you would need to update your storefront to reflect the new.
  • Partner Support: We support your connecting your reseller plan to the plugin but the rest is up to you. This means that you will be responsible for knowing you how to use and build in WordPress.
  • Multi market/currency: If you want to provide multiple markets/currencies, you would need to create multiple pages/storefronts for the different markets/currencies you wish to support.

Storefront API

Using the storefront API is going to allow you to create the most custom experience. However, this is not for the faint of heart. In order to use this option, you need to know how to work with APIs and build sites using APIs. We do not support how you build your storefront using these APIs. You will be responsible for all pages you build and how you implement, we only provide this documentation. These APIs are what powers the standard storefront and plugin in the backend.

Perks:

  • You can create a completely custom storefront (of course, you must still follow the reseller agreement)
  • Connects to pricing in the RCC

Limitations:

  • Partner Support: Our support team cannot assist you in learning how to build a site using our APIs or test your site for you. In this particular case, we are providing the tools but you are responsible for how you use them.

Streamline your customers’ experience with a custom storefront navigation menu. Curate your product offerings, edit product category names to include industry-specific keywords, adjust page URLs, and add unique pages to showcase your business and services.

Note: Custom product names and page URL’s aren’t translated. They'll appear to all markets in the same language you use to customize your menu.

  1. Sign in to your Reseller Control Center (use your Cheap Domaining username and password).
  2. Select Settings, then select Navigation.
    customize storefront navigation
  3. Complete any of the following:
  4. Show or hide product categories

Select the eye icon icon to the left of the product category to hide the entire category in your storefront navigation menu. Customers won’t see any products related to a hidden category in your navigation menu. Select the icon again if you want to restore the category to your menu.

    Show or hide specific products

Select Edit next to the category with the product(s) you want to adjust. Select the eye icon icon next to the product to hide that product in your storefront navigation menu. Select the icon again if you want to restore the product to your menu.

    Customize product and category menus

Help customers find the products they need and provide a uniform navigation experience across your entire storefront with custom menus. To edit a product category, select Edit and change any of the following:

    • Edit the category Name to be a short (one or two words) summary of the products in the sub-category below. Category names display in your primary navigation menu.
    • Modify product names to appeal to your customers. In your storefront navigation menu, product names display in the drop-down menu under the category.
    • Edit the URL that appears in the address bar when visiting that product page.
    • Select the eye icon icon to show or hide a product or page in your navigation menu.
    • Select Add New Link to add a new product. This is useful if you’re also selling products or services from a different company.
    • Use the arrow icon arrows to change the order in which categories and products appear in the menu.

    Add custom categories

Select Add New Category to create a top-level category and sub-categories. Categories with unique products or services can make your storefront stand out from competitors.
    add new category

    Add links

Select Add New Link to add a custom page to your storefront, like an About Us page to showcase your company.
    add new link

  5. If you need to undo your changes, select the revert to defaults icon to restore the default navigation menu settings.
  6. Select Publish to confirm your changes. Your changes will appear within a few minutes.

What is an API Storefront?

An API storefront, also known as an API marketplace or API portal, is an online platform that provides a central hub for developers and businesses to discover, explore, and access application programming interfaces (APIs). It serves as a marketplace where developers can find, evaluate, and consume APIs offered by various providers.

APIs are sets of rules and protocols that allow different software applications to communicate and interact with each other. They enable developers to access and utilize functionalities, data, or services provided by external systems or platforms in their own applications.

An API storefront typically offers a catalog of APIs from different providers, allowing developers to search and browse through available APIs based on various criteria such as functionality, category, popularity, or pricing. It provides detailed documentation, including API endpoints, parameters, authentication methods, and usage examples, helping developers understand how to integrate and use the APIs effectively.

API storefronts often include additional features such as sandbox environments or interactive consoles where developers can test and experiment with APIs before implementing them in their applications. They may also provide analytics and reporting capabilities to track API usage, performance, and billing information.

For API providers, an API storefront serves as a platform to showcase and distribute their APIs to a wider audience. It can facilitate developer onboarding, provide access controls and security measures, and offer monetization options such as paid subscriptions or usage-based pricing.

Overall, an API storefront simplifies the process of discovering, evaluating, and consuming APIs, fostering collaboration between API providers and developers, and promoting the development of innovative applications and services.

WordPress permalinks are the permanent web address URLs for your posts and pages. Using custom WordPress permalinks can improve the ranking of your site on search engines and help with search engine optimization (SEO). Also, custom permalinks are easier for your visitors to remember. You can activate and update permalinks through your WordPress dashboard in order to have SEO-friendly URLs.

Permalinks help to create a URL structure that is easy for both humans and search engines to understand and share.
